The roaring success of Tanu Weds Manu Returns seems to have changed the lives of its actors in more ways than one. Swara Bhaskar’s role as Kangana Ranaut’s bestie, Payal, has been much appreciated. And now we hear that the actress is greeted by friends and fans with a popular line from the film: Woh dekh kabootar.
Swara says, “Looks like that scene and dialogue is stuck in people’s imaginations. It’s understandable when friends and people I know tease me thus, but funnily, twice, strangers at the airport and someone in a shop teased me in the same way.” She adds, “I was surprised, but took it as a compliment. It’s nice that people remember your moments in the film. Shows that your performance has stayed with them.”
