AUDYC is organising yoga education sessions

Visakhapatnam: With the UN declaring June 21 as the International Day of Yoga at the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Andhra University Department of Yoga and Consciousness (AUDYC) seems to be taking it up in true spirit by celebrating yoga week from June 15 to 19.

The varsity management is going to organise various programmes in collaboration with various government and non-government organisations with an objective to bring awareness regarding yoga and consciousness among common people.

Right from holding district-level competitions at yoga village on June 15 and 16 and imparting special techniques of yoga for specific problems at the yoga village from June 15th to 19th to group meditation followed by yogic challenge and forming longest yoga chain on the beach road in front of the yoga village on June 21st, AUDYC is organising yoga education sessions by experts teaching special techniques for individual participants in view of their problems.

The weeklong programmes will end with a valedictory function with distributing prizes to the winner of district level competitions, yoga demonstrations by foreigners and yoga practitioners sharing their experiences.

“The programmes organised at yoga village during the yoga week are free and participants may register their names on or before June 12, 2015 during office hours (6 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 7 pm) to participate in competitions/imparting special techniques of yoga.
