Chandrababu Naidu takes lead role in engagement ceremony of Nymisha Reddy

Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister and TD boss N. Chandrababu Naidu took on the role of the family head at the engagement ceremony of Nymisha Reddy, Revanth Reddy’s daughter.

Mr Naidu reached the venue at around 10 am and spent a lot of time there in a show of solidarity with the family.

The CM, accompanied by his wife Bhuvaneshwari, son Nara Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmini stood alongside Mr Revanth Reddy’s family on the stage when the couple exchanged rings.

“Nymisha is like my daughter. The exchange of rings will be done in our presence,” Ms Bhuvaneshwari had apparently told Mr Revanth Reddy’s family members.

Sources said that Mr Naidu had plans of organising a function if the court had denied bail to Mr Revanth Reddy.

Since he was given a 12-hour bail, Mr Naidu gave the family the much-needed moral support. This indicates Mr Naidu’s resolve. He had made the success of the function a prestige issue, sources stated.

Yadava Reddy, who recently got elected as TRS MLC, surprised everyone with his presence and greeted the couple and a few other guests.

Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, AP Speaker, came with several AP ministers, MLAs and MLCs. In a way, TD threw its weight behind Mr Revanth Reddy.

Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Vem Narendra Reddy were there all through the ceremony and stayed back till Mr Revanth Reddy had to return to Cherlapally jail.

Film personalities including N. Balakrishna, C. Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju, S.V. Krishna Reddy and K. Achchi Reddy attended the function.
