Probe source of funding to KFD, PFI: Karnataka Health Minister Khader

Khader said BJP was a party to the release of a terrorist by the J&K government

BENGALURU: In a new twist to the controversial decision by the state government to withdraw cases against members of KFD and PFI, health minister U.T. Khader on Saturday urged the Union government to probe those who were funding these two organisations.

He told the media here that the BJP and Socialist Democratic Party of India (SDPI) had entered into a tacit understanding to defeat Congress candidates in polls to the Legislative Assembly in 2013. Such an understanding was evident in Dakshina Kannada district. It was an open secret that PFI belongs to SDPI. Therefore, the truth would come to light in case the Union government orders a probe, he added.

Criticising BJP leaders for politicising the issue of withdrawal of cases against members of KFD and PFI, Mr Khader said BJP was a party to the release of a terrorist by the Jammu and Kashmir government as it shares power with PDP in that state.
