Indian Test cricketers train in Kolkata

Team assembled for two-day camp before heading to Dhaka for the one-off Test

Kolkata: Indian Test cricketers led by Virat Kohli arrived in batches late on Friday as they assembled for a two-day camp before heading to Dhaka on Monday morning for the one-off Test against Bangladesh. “They will arrive in batches and there will be practice on Saturday and Sunday. They will take a 7.45am flight to Dhaka on Monday,” a source said on Thursday. The Indian Test skipper, Kohli, is slated to address a news conference on the eve of the departure, while there may also be an Open Session in the evening.

The city is also scheduled to host the three iconic former cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, the newly inducted members of the cricket advisory committee which is slated to meet for the first time on Saturday.

The committee is expected to play a role in finalising the next India coach and also set guidelines and road map for the team. India will play one Test (at Fatullah from June 10-14) and three ODIs (at Mirpur from June 18-24) in the upcoming Bangladesh tour.
