Optical fiber to cast net on villages: Andhra Pradesh CM

Says farmers can sell their produce online

Kakinada/Rajahmundry: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that optical fiber connectivity wou-ld bring tremendous chan-ges in the livelihoods of ru-ral and urban areas soon. Addressing in Janmabhoomi-Maa Vuru programmes in Chebrolu village in East Godavari district and Velpuru village in West Godavari district, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said that the rural people would be provided with 10 mbps connection and the people such as farmers, self help groups, youth and others can make use of the facility through internet, mobile phones, apps and others and it would help to bring better livelihood in their lives as they can sell their products through online.

Naidu said that he was striving hard for the development of the state and the people should also cooperate with him. The Chief Minister said that the capacity of government hospital would be increased to 30 from 6 beds and a bypass road would be laid for the village. He said that the fishyard would be modernised at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.

He instructed collector K. Bhaskar to remove weeds in drains in the district and sanctioned '6 crore for the same. He said that a rythu bazaar would be set up in Velpuru village. Naidu praised the development and achievements in agriculture, medical and health care and the functioning of Anganwadis in Chebrolu village. The CM said he would make the state as number one in world map, if the officials can make such achievements.

He specially apprechiated the mandal agriculture officer Vjayaramalakshmi who successfully organised polam badi and other activities. The farmers of the village said that they secured higher yieldings during Kharif and Rabi crops by low investments. Chandrababu said that better management practices would bring higher yieldings and the governmetn would focus on the methods.
