Chandrababu Naidu is the ‘key person’ in MLA bribe case, alleges Telangana Minister

Hyderabad: Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy alleged on Wednesday that TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is the "key person" in the issue of a TDP MLA allegedly trying to bribe a nominated MLA in Legislative Council polls.

"Revanth Reddy (TDP MLA who was arrested) got entangled by giving an offer of Rs five crore to defeat our party (TRS) MLCs (candidates in council elections). This is going to bring a big change in politics in this state. Because, Chandrababu Naidu is the key person in this.”

"Chandrababu spoke to the MLA on phone. That telephone information is there. People are demanding that Chandrababu be made the main accused," the Home Minister said.

He said law will take its own course in the matter.

Revanth Reddy was arrested on Sunday last for allegedly trying to give a bribe to nominated MLA in the Telangana Legislative Council polls held this week.

Meanwhile, senior TDP leader S Chandramohan Reddy alleged that a conspiracy was hatched against Revanth Reddy.

"Revanth is a young man. He is growing. Is it necessary to make such a big conspiracy as you are unable to answer the questions posed by Revanth in Legislative Assembly, outside, in the media?," the TDP leader said.
