Andhra Pradesh to follow Japan’s growth pathway

CM requested the 5 crore people of AP to extend their support for developing the state

Vijayawada: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said that his Nava Nirmaan Deeksha’s aim was to recall the injustice done to AP during the bifurcation process and to dedicate it to future development. Addressing the people at the Deeksha venue at Benz Circle here, Mr Naidu requested the 5 crore people of AP to extend their support for developing the state. He took a pledge and asked the people to re-dedicate themselves to the state’s development.

“Congress, TRS and YSRC leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, were the reasons behind the state bifurcation and they should feel jealous of the state’s progress in future. But it needs 10 to 15 years,” he said, adding that the people should support the TD government till then.

The three parties had colluded and the state’s bifurcation was completed on Italy’s formation day, he said.

The CM said that while the wish of Telangana was fulfilled with its formation, the people of Andhra Pradesh are facing several problems and their wishes also should be fulfilled with development of the state. He added that the Deeksha was not against Telangana as some people had been stating.

Mr Naidu said that his desire was to develop the two states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and the Telugu people should be united. He said that Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Germany and several other countries had developed with hard work and dedication.

He said that the AP government would take these countries’ progress as a model and added that the state would also get recognition as India’s best by 2029, the world’s best by 2050. The CM said that several countries were already coming forward to participate in the construction of the capital, Amaravati, but the government would give opportunities to local businessmen too.
