Bike runs over pavement dwellers in Tamil Nadu, 3 killed

Chennai: Three pavement dwellers, including two elderly women, were killed on the spot and four others injured after a speeding motorcycle ran over them early Wednesday morning, police said.

The incident occurred after the youth riding the two-wheeler reportedly lost control and ran over the victims, who were sleeping at Parry's Corner area, police said.

The deceased were flower vendors, they said, adding, three persons have been detained in this connection and investigation is on.
