Gautam Rode, whose show Mahakumbh will soon go off air, talks about playing Rudra, life after the show and more.
What will you miss the most about playing your character?
I spend more time as Rudra currently than I do being Gautam. Hence Rudra has become an integral part of my life. I will miss all the action, the hardworking team of Mahakumbh as well as my co-actors.
What are your plans after the show?
There’s a lot coming my way and hence I am trying to decide what to take next. But it will definitely be something different from what I’ve done in the past.
How do you like spending time during breaks in between shots?
I try to squeeze in time to workout, grab some rest and complete conversations related to work or family.
What are some of the best compliments you have received for your work?
The love and support I get from my admirers is the biggest compliment. There are so many people all across the world who are watching our shows and taking time out to connect with us.
Which show is closest to you among all the shows you have done?
Both Saraswatichandra and Mahakumbh are extremely close to my heart. The shows are polar opposites and so are the characters, but I have loved being a part of both of them.
What are your top three wishes at the moment?
Rest, vacation and work altogether, simultaneously (laughs). I am a workaholic yet I am craving for some rest and a vacation.
