Mumbai: Musical genius Bappi Lahiri received the Humanitarian and Goodwill Ambassador Award for Slumstars, a music album dedicated to the slum children of Mumbai, at the 4th Garifuna Festival in the USA. Bappi is one man panned by critics, loved by audiences and caricatured for being showbiz’s Bling King. The singer-composer is still revving up the charts.
Bappi is the man behind quirky dance numbers such as 'Yaad aa raha hai', 'Tamma tamma loge' and 'Oh la la la' and the latest one being 'Ghoomketu'.
