Abhinaya bags the lead role in Thudi

Directed by Ridhun Sagar, the story starts at 6 pm and ends at 6 am the next day

Despite her shortcomings (she is speech and hearing impaired), Abhinaya made a great impact with her debut flick Nadodigal which was directed by Samudhrakani. Having worked in the Telugu and Kannada remakes, pretty Abhinaya got her big break when she was acted opposite Suriya in the period piece 7 Aam Arivu. When director Balki saw her impressive performance in Ajith’s Veeram, he introduced her in Shamitabh. Abhinaya has now got her dream role for a film titled Thudi.

Directed by Ridhun Sagar, the story starts at 6 pm and ends at 6 am the next day. Talking about the film Sagar says, “Thudi is the name of an instrument used by ancient tribesmen, and you can understand why I chose that title when you watch the movie. It is an edge-of-the-seat thriller which takes place inside a five star hotel. A miscommunication that leads to a predicament for the guests of the hotel forms the crux of the story.

Abhinaya plays a receptionist in the hotel and her character moves the story forward.” Giving us more details, he said, “The actress is not paired with anyone, there’s no hero per se, in the film. The plot revolves around five characters.” A well known actor is expected to come on board for a vital character.
