A 60-year-old man was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a five-year-old girl

Hyderabad: A 60-year-old man was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a five-year-old girl at Ramreddy Nagar in Jeedimetla on Wednesday. The victim and the culprit Ram Charan Singh, who belongs to Bihar, are neighbours. The victim’s parents, who moved here from Bihar, are labourers and work for a private company at Jeedimetla. Ram Charan also works in the same company.
Police said Ram Charan Singh, who stays in the house adjacent to that of the victim, often used to visit her house and play with her. Ram Charan took the girl from her house in the wee hours of Wednesday after informing her parents and took her to his house.
SI K. Lingya Naik said, “The culprit made sexual advances and the girl raised an alarm. Hearing her screams her parents rescued her. Based on a complaint a case was booked. The man was arrested and sent to judicial remand.
