These airplane seats will tell if you’re nervous

The flight seats have built-in sensors that notify the crew if a passenger is stressed

As comfortable as the flights seem to you and I, for many flying on an aircraft is nothing less than a ride through hell. A lot of people face serious anxiety issues while flying on an aircraft. In fact, sometimes airlines need to perform costly emergency landings due to passengers that do not inform cabin crew when they are feeling ill.

Keeping the nervous passengers in mind, Flaminia Del Conte, along with the engineering students at TU Delft, have conceptualised an in-flight service for passengers and cabin crew, called FlightBeat.

Essentially how FlightBeat works is, there are built-in sensors in the seats of the aircraft, and with the help of the sensors, when a passenger is stressed or nervous, the flight attendants are notified through the application.
