Mock MLC polling for Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs

The TRS is happy CPI and CPM are abstaining parties to obstain from voting in MLC polls

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao convened the TRS Legislature Party meeting on May 29 to talk to the legislators over the MLC polls and on May 30, 31. TRS legislators will participate in the mock-poll to avoid any slippage in votes on June 1.

The TRS leadership feels even if one MLA commits a mistake in choosing the voting preference, all calculations of the party will run into trouble for the five nominees.

The party also decided to give different codes to each MLA so that all the five nominees are elected comfortably. The TRS chief has instructed party managers to ensure that not a single vote from ruling party is invalidated.

The TRS is happy CPI and CPM are abstaining parties to obstain from voting in MLC polls. ' who ever from opposition obstain from voting that will be advantageous to us' said one TRS functionary. However there was no response from Election Commission so far on the complaint from Congress and TDP that Vemulavada TRS MLA Channamaneni Ramesh be restrained from exercising his vote in MLC polls.

Though TRS circles claim that EC has favoured Ramesh to vote in elections, Election Commission officials said so far there is no decision on the complaint and still it is under
consideration.
