Tendulkar set the tone for the evening with his thank you speech in Marathi
MUMBAI: Not having the burden of stepping out in Team India jersey and having to meet the expectations of billions has finally brought out the lighter side in Sachin Tendulkar. The Master once a picture of concentration, is now not letting a moment slip by where he can be his candid self.
On Sunday night, he joined the Mumbai Indians on the dance floor atthe team hotel after their IPL triumph and on Monday he soaked the carnival-like atmosphere at the Wankhede where the blue brigade congregated to thank their fans for their unflinching support.

Tendulkar set the tone for the evening with his thank you speech in Marathi. Harbhajan Singh, the team’s chirpiest senior character then took over and called himself a ‘Mumbaikar’ after having played for the IPL franchise for eight seasons now. “I am a Punjabi, but feel more like a Mumbaikar now,” said the off-spinner.
Kieron Pollard, the giant with an image of a bad-boy said he would continue to hammer sixes and delight the crowds. “Mumbai has been a home away from home. I will try and give you as many sixes as possible in the years to come.”
Rohit Sharma, who guiding the high-profile team to two IPL titles in just three years said the Wankhede crowd has been their 12th man. “I love Mumbai. The energy around the ground is amazing,” Sharma said.
