I don’t imitate Rajini intentionally: Natraj Subramaniam

The cinematographer started shooting for Enkitte Modhadhe which kicked off recently

After playing one of the leads in Katham Katham a popular phrase uttered by Rajinikanth in Baba, Natraj Subramaniam has been chosen as the lead in Enkitte Modhadhe which is being produced by Eros. This title is a line from Rajini’s chartbuster song of yesteryear, Enkitte Modhadhe, from the film Rajathi Raja. After completing Vijay’s movie Puli, the cinematographer started shooting for Enkitte Modhadhe which kicked off recently.

“As far as the titles are concerned, it is the director and his team who take the call, as they would like to have a relevant name, which goes well with the theme of the story. So, my films having a Rajini connection is entirely coincidental,” Natty explains with a laugh. Leave alone the coincidence; when asked why he imitates Rajinikanth, pat comes the reply, “Do I? Many of my friends also tell me that the speed with which I deliver my dialogues, and some of my body language, resembles Rajini sir. But I don’t do it deliberately.”

About his film, he says, “It is a story which encompasses friendship, betrayal, revenge, and similar themes. The director narrated the plot in an interesting manner. I play a person who erects cutouts and banners.”
