T Siddique resigns from KPCC post

He also filed a counter plaint with police to nab the conspirators behind the woman’s complaint
KOZHIKODE: Keral Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary T. Siddique has tendered his resignation from the post to uphold morality in politics and personal life and to convince the same to the public, according to him.
The resignation follows a complaint filed by his former wife, T. Naseema, with the city police commissioner alleging that Siddique and friends assaulted her on the premises of a hospital in Kozhikode on Friday.
Following the complaint, Siddique had come out openly against Wayanad MP M. I. Shanavas and KPCC secretary advocate K. Jayanth through his Facebook post alleging that they were behind Naseema.
He also filed a counter plaint with police to nab the conspirators behind the woman’s complaint. Siddique told press persons on Sunday that KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran had accepted his resignation. “I will continue as a grass roots worker of the Congress party. I had requested (the party) to expedite the inquiry into the allegations against me, police and court,” he elaborated. But he did not point to the names of any Congress leaders unlike in his FB post, saying that he did not want to comment on those matters. He reiterated that he had complete trust in the party.
