Watch: Canadian man sets Guinness World Record with farthest flight on a hoverboard

This is the stuff of sci-fi dreams.Catalin Alexandru Duru from Canada has created this incredible propeller-based hoverboard and set the record by travelling a distance of over two football pitches across the calm waters of Lake Ouareau in Quebec, Canada.
Inspired by the iconic hoverboard from "Back To The Future", Duru spent 12 months slaving away on his designs until he created this prototype.
According to Guineness World Records, the amazing hoverboard managed to travel a total distance of 275.9 m (905 ft 2 in) to achieve a new Guinness World Records title for Farthest flight by a hoverboard.
Duru was quoted saying, “I wanted to showcase that a stable flight can be achieved on a hoverboard and a human could stand and control with their feet.”
