The shooting of Vijay’s gargantuan project, Puli, was wrapped up recently with a song. The film which was shot in different locations, has been in the making for almost five months. The computer graphics (CG) are yet to be done. The first look of the film is expected to be released on the actor’s birthday, in the last week of June. Interestingly, the crew of Puli also released a surprise video thanking Vijay for his many star qualities.
Those speaking in the video included team members from various departments — costume, camera, artist coordination, production, VFX and stunt men, assistant directors, and the actor’s driver. All of them touched on the memories they cherished during the time spent with Vijay and were happy to share what they learned from him. While a few showered praise on the actor for his modesty, grounded behavior and punctuality, some others said they admired him for treating everyone on the sets like his friends.
The assistant directors expressed their happiness to work with the Kaththi star, as they found him very accessible, and did not complain when asked for retakes. His driver said he was proud, and happy to be a long-time associate of the star. His security team which includes a few bouncers, apologised to the actor for the leakage of a still from the movie, despite their best precautions.
