Ajay Devgn launches 'Shivaay' motion poster two years in advance

Mumbai: Ajay Devgn has launched the first motion poster of his second directorial venture film ‘Shivaay’. This film is still two years away from its release, but the makers chose to drop its first look way in advance to get the fans excited. It will also be released under the banner of the actor’s production house ‘Ajay Devgn Films’.

AJ, who started this year off with a disastrous film ‘Action Jackson’, will play the central role in the film, which is going to be an out-and-out action flick according to reports. In the film, Ajay plays Shivaay, the ‘protector, transformer and destroyer’. The movie is said to be shot extensively in Canada. Ajay Devgn and his team went on a reccee in Calgary to scout for shooting locations. The actor has been sharing pictures of himself with the crew on his Twitter page and revealed that some of their shoots were in locations that are believed to be one of the coldest regions on earth.

The actor set up his production company in 2000, and the first film to be made under the banner was ‘Raju Chacha’, followed by ‘U Me AurHum’, which also marked his directorial debut. Both times, Kajol was his leading lady. However, this time yesteryear actress Saira Banu's grandniece Sayesha, has been roped in to play the lead instead.

Ajay’s ‘Shivaay’ is slated for release in January 2017. Till then, the actorwill be seen in ‘ Drishyam’ that releases in July this year, after which he will shoot ‘Baadshaho’ with Milan Luthria.
