Sunanda Pushkar, Salman Khan case in Game

There are scenes of a hit and run case which is similar to 'current' developments

Bengaluru: A Kannada-Tamil bi-lingual film, entitled Game, directed by AMR Ramesh, the man who turned out a masterly retelling of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination has now turned his attention to the mystery surrounding the untimely end of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of the former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, with bits about Bollywood super star Salman Khan’s hit and run case thrown in!

Confused over the link between the politician’s wife and the Dabangg actor? Don’t be. It’s the movies! The director, who made Cyanide, based on the police investigation into the assassination of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, and whose latest release Attahasa was about slain forest brigand Veerappan, said, “I neither deny nor affirm the speculation, but the movie is about the investigation of a ‘mysterious’ murder.”

“Manisha Koirala plays the victim's role, as Arjun Sarja probes the mysterious case in the movie. As for rumours that the movie dwells on Salman's case, there is a connection.

There are scenes of a hit and run case which is similar to 'current' developments. There is also a great message, which I leave to the audience to decipher," he said. With a Kashmiri girl also in the movie, in a speculated reference to a Pakistani journalist, actress turned Congress party official Khushboo, called Mr Ramesh’s PRO to ask: "Is the movie based on Sunanda's case, what's the Gameplan, Mr Ramesh?"
