Telugu Desam faults K Chandrasekhar Rao’s sermons

KCR should know that this is a democratic society and not a feudal one

Hyderabad: Coming down heavily on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s observations on upholding parliamentary democracy and values at the TRS training camp in Nagarjuna-sagar, senior TD MLA Revanth Reddy said the CM who was encouraging defections of opposition MLAs to his party was quoting values and that this indicated he is a good actor and deserved the ‘Oscar’ award.

Speaking at the party headquarters on Monday, Revanth Reddy said by inviting Legislature Secretary Dr S. Raja Sadaram, Hyderabad police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy and Agricultural University registrar Praveen Kumar as guest speakers at the party training meet, both the Chief Minister and officials gave the go bye to rules which clearly prohibits them from attending programmes organised by political parties.

Reminding the CM that the HC had found fault with several undemocratic decisions of the government so far including striking down the GO on appointing Parliamentary Secretaries, the TD leader said that KCR was even finding fault with courts and was telling TRS cadres that courts cannot interfere in legislative affairs. “KCR should know that this is a democratic society and not a feudal one. He should remember that he is only a CM and not a king,” Revanth said.
