A long flight and jetlag didn’t seem to deter Aamir Khan from dropping by on the sets of his friend and filmmaker Ram Madhvani. The actor, who had just returned from a holiday in the US with wife Kiran Rao and son Aazad, headed straight to Ram’s sets where he is shooting a biopic on the life of Pan Am flight attendant Neerja Bhanot with Sonam Kapoor.
Says a source, “When Ram started the shoot in a suburban studio, he was pleased to see Aamir Khan drop by the sets. Despite the long flight, he showed no signs of fatigue. He was happy to meet the team and looked at the shots in the monitor.”
Ram Madhvani is a big name in the ad world and is known for directing many award-winning TV commercials. He has also directed Bhejha Kum song for Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par. The source added, “Aamir and Ram are good friends and bounce ideas off each other all the time. Aamir spent a long time on the set before wishing the entire team good luck for this project.”
Sonam Kapoor, who plays Neerja Bhanot, did a few workshops with the director before rolling.
