K Chandrashekar Rao to teach Telangana Rashtra Samithi MPs, MLAs

CM will share his experiences of Telangana movement and innovative ideas in administration

Hyderabad: The TRS government is conducting a four-day political training course for ministers, MPs and legislators at Nagarjunasagar from May 1 to 4.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will share his experiences of the Telangana statehood movement, his days as an MP, politics, administrative practices and innovative ideas in administration.

Apart from him, experts on various subjects from the Administrative Staff College of India and others will take classes on specialised subjects. Parliamentary practices, polity, economics including budget, agriculture, rural development, urban development, medical and health, panchayat raj, minerals and natural, law and order, innovative practices, public behaviour, PR and related subjects will be taught to the leaders.

“The training classes are aimed at brushing up the knowledge of the ministers, legislators and MPs on Parliamentary practices and other subjects since many are first timers. The aim is to see that they serve the people better and ensure good governance. The Chief Minister will camp there for the entire session,” said power minister G. Jagadish Reddy.

He added Zilla Parishad chairpersons and other elected leaders from local bodies had also been invited for the last day’s session.

TRS MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy said the government had invited economists Ch Hanumantha Rao and G.R. Reddy, former Chief Election Commissioners T.N. Seshan and James Michael Lyngdoh, Legislature Secretary Raja Sadaram to take classes.

Mr Raja Sadaram will take classes on legislative practices and on various business rules of legislature. The TRS government’s flagship programmes like the Water Grid project, Mission Kakatiya, welfare sche-mes like pensions, waiver of farm loans, power situation and other issues will also be taken up.

In the first two days, about 100 legislators, MPs and others will attend the classes and their numbers will increase on the last day when Zilla Parishad chairpersons and other elected leaders participate.
