Hyderabad: Lashing out at the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party for “uncalled for” criticism of the TRS government’s programmes and policies, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao vowed that his government would fulfil every promise made to the people come what may, before its five-year term ended.
K Chandrasekhar Rao. who took over as TRS president for the 8th time in a row at the TRS’ first plenary in the new state at the Lal Bahadur Stadium, named ‘Amara Veerula Pranganam’, on Friday, took a dig at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and also Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy and other Congress leaders.
“When I took an aerial survey to find land for pharma city, film city and education city, Congress men had said, ‘KCR come down to earth’. When I undertook a padayatra in Warangal, they said I should not act like a councillor. They are jealous. We are just 10 months old but have done a lot for people, but the Congress ruled for 10 years and the TDP for 17 years. What did they do?” he asked.
