Mysuru police are expected to arrest the three accused any time now

Mysuru: The petition for anticipatory bail by Mr V. B. Murthy and Mrs Nalina Murthy, the in laws, and brother in law Mr Prabudha Harsha Murthy of IAS officer's daughter who has accused them of dowry harassment, abetment to rape and attempt to murder her and her unborn child when she was eighth months pregnant, that was being heard at 6th Additional district and sessions court, here on Wednesday, has been put off to Friday.

Arrests likely soon

Amid tremendous pressure and public outcry, the Mysuru police are expected to arrest the three accused any time now, police sources said. The Mysore city police' special team under ACP Umesh Ganapathy Sait has been tasked to trace the absconders in the case of alleged rape and dowry harassment filed by the daughter of a retired IAS officer in Bengaluru. “We have formed a special team and the arrests will occur in due course,” said M.A. Saleem, Mysuru police commissioner to DC.
