No further delimitation of Assembly constituencies till 2026: Constitution's Article 170

Hyderabad: In a setback to both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments, the Centre has made it clear that increasing Assembly seats in both states
will only be possible after 2026.
In a reply to Karimnagar TRS MP B. Vinod Kumar, Union minister of state for home affairs H. Parathibhai Chaudhary stated that as per Article 170 of the Constitution, there could be no further delimitation of Assembly constituencies till 2026.
