ASUS Zenfone 2: New 4GB RAM handset to arrive in three variants this week
E-commerce website, Flipkart has released a teaser hinting at the exclusive launch of ASUS’s new 4GB smartphone. According to Flipkart’s latest teaser, the poster directs a question to its customers, ‘Zenfone 2- Ready 4 the incredible?’ This in fact confirms that ASUS plans to launch the Zenfone 2 in India on April 23, 2015.
ASUS ZenFone 2 sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS screen, with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and anti-fingerprint coating. Media reports also state that the Zenfone 2 will be available in three variants - Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) , Zenfone 2 (ZE500CL) and Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML).
While Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) and Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) will feature a 5.5-inch display, the Zenfone 2 (ZE500CL) smartphone will sport a 5-inch screen . Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) will be equipped with a 1.8GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor, offer 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage memory. Whereas, the Zenfone 2 (ZE500CL) will be powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor and 2500mAh battery.
ASUS Zenfone 2 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with Zen UI. It also offers features that include ZenMotion, SnapView, Trend Micro security, SnapView and ZenUI instant updates. ZenMotion enables touch gestures and also allows easy access to the One Hand mode or Do It Later. The SnapView offers better security of apps, photos, and files on your handset.

The 5.5-inch ASUS ZenFone 2 smartphone models are powered by a 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor and offers 4GB of RAM. ASUS also claims that Zenfone 2 will offer faster gaming performance. On the camera front, the ASUS ZenFone 2 smartphone features a 13MP Pixel Master camera with an f/2.0 wide-aperture and Backlight (HDR) mode.
Additionally, the soon-to-be launched ZenFone 2 has a Real Tone flash that supports warm skin tones and several colour modes. Its 5MP front-facing camera features a ZenUI Selfie Panorama mode and supports 85-degree field of view. ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) and (ZE550ML) are fuelled by a 3000mAh battery, that promises to offer a longer battery life than the 5-inch smartphone model.
Additionally, its fast-charge technology can charge the handset up to 60 per cent in just 39 minutes. The ZenFone 2 will be available in five colours - Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Glamor Red and Ceramic White. According to the previous teaser, Zenfone fans don't need to wait for any selective flash sale. One can grab the all-new Zenfone 2 smartphone without any invitation.
