Mumbai: Deepika Padukone may be a housebound girl in her upcoming film ‘Piku’ due to her ailing father but the actress sure knows how to make the most of her time offshoot.
According to reports, the actress was bitten by the travel bug and used to explore the holy city of Varanasi when she was done for the day shooting for her scenes. At times her co-star Irrfan Khan also accompanied the leggy lass in her escapade.
Since the team was there for a fairly long schedule, Deepika was able to plan her trips to the touristy spots in Varanasi better. She also felt at peace while touring the temples and famous ghats of the city. While the trailer of the film looks interesting, the cast and crew leaves no stones unturned to make this film any less adventurous and exciting.
Deepika and Irrfan were clicked on the sets, and as it can be seen in the picture, the actors seemed to have a good time, despite the chilly conditions. Deepika covered herself in a red and black shawl braving the cold.
Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’ will hit the screens on May 8.
