Is Saif Ali Khan’s not-so-happening box office status the reason for the indefinite delay in the release of Kabir Khan’s Phantom? Despite the completion of the Saif- Katrina Kaif starrer, the film has been unable to find an appropriate release date. Probably that’s why Kabir is already hard at work on his next film starring Salman Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. “Normally, directors start working on their next film after winding up the current one.
Kabir was simultaneously working on Phantom and Bajragi Bhaijaan, however it was at different levels. Handling two big budget films at a time can be quite a task,” say sources close to the director.
While BB is nearing completion, the buzz about Phantom has gone from hot to cold. “Phantom is ready and we’re looking at releasing the film in August 2015. There were a few glitches but it’s all been sorted,” our source reports. Saif is banking on Phantom to revive his box office standing.
