The actress has been roped in for 'Thala 56' a project by Siruthai Siva
Mumbai: Southern beauty Shruti Haasan has bagged a role opposite one of the most popular faces of Tamil cinema Ajith Kumar in the much talked about film 'Thala 56'.
The film directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by AM Rathnam is said to go on floors by May this year.
While Shruti has been finalised as the lead heroine, their makers are still looking for an actress to essay the role of Ajith’s sister in the film.
Meanwhile, the shoot’s pre-production has begun. Model-turned-actor Kabir Singh is in talks to play the antagonist, while the rest of the cast is being finalised. 'Thala 56' is a much-expected affair and marks the third time that Ajith and Rathnam are joining hands after Arrambam and Yennai Arindhaal.
