Salman Khan asks director Nikhil Advani for 'Hero' poster change

Mumbai: Producer Salman Khan is leaving no stone unturned to ensure Sooraj Pancholi and Aathiya Shetty have a crackling debut in Nikhil Advani’s Hero. With the film scheduled for a July 3 release, Salman has already chalked out plans for a big trailer launch. However, from what we hear, he wasn’t too happy with the publicity material that has been prepared so far. In fact, he asked Nikhil Advani to redo it.

A source told us, “Nikhil had a photo shoot with Sooraj and Aathiya in a Mumbai studio for the poster of the film. It was a one-day shoot, after which the final product was sent to Salman. What he saw he didn’t quite impress him and he felt it lacked the punch the two actors deserve to have.”

From what we gather, Nikhil has worked on the material as per Salman’s suggestions. “Nikhil obviously had to do what Salman told him. Within a few days, another shoot was done and he tried to better he original. Salman was pretty impressed with the results,” our source says.

When we reached out to Nikhil Advani to confirm the story, he was unavailable for comment. However, an aide of the director said, “The posters of the film are already locked and Nikhil has only shot once with the lead cast at Mehboob Studio.”
