Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to write lyrics for upcoming Telugu film

Hyderabad: Allani Sridhar, the director of Komaram Bheem, will ask Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to write the lyrics of a song for his upcoming film Bonala Potharaju.

“R. Narayana Murthy has written the story and he himself is playing the lead character. We are approaching our Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao for a song in the film,” says Allani Sridhar. A few days ago,

R. Narayana Murthy met the CM, and requested him to write a song and he responded positively. Many do not know that the CM is a good poet.

“The term Potharaju is familiar in Telangana and Andhra where one can see Potharajus, mainly at the village festivals. A Potharaju is a very important person, especially in Telangana culture,” says Allani Sridhar.

“We are getting support from cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav too for this film. He is happy that we are highlighting Potharaju in our film,” says Allani Sridhar. Sana Yadi Reddy is producing the film, shooting for which will start from April 15. The makers are planning to release the film in July, before the Bonalu festival starts.
