Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor’s marriage with Mira Rajput came as baffling news to his enormous fan base. While there have been speculations that the two have already exchanged engagement rings on January 14 this year, Shahid is still tight-lipped about the secret affair.

While Shahid makes up his mind about coming out with the relationship in open, we list down five things you should know about bride-to-be Mira.

1.Mira is a Delhi-based English (Hons) student at Lady Sri Ram College for women. She did her schooling from Vasant Valley school in Delhi.

2.Mira did an internship with United Nations.

3.Though she is a huge fan of Bollywood music composers, Mira also loves several singers from the west- Beyonce, Demi Lovato to name a few.

4.She is a follower of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, a philosophical organisation the beliefs of which are followed by Shahid and his father Pankaj Kapoor.

5.Shahid recently visited Chhatarpur a few days ago, to meet her parents who are based there. Mira and Shahid then got engaged on Makar Sankrati, January 14.

Shahid has been linked to many of his co-stars, but the actor has always maintained that he would get married to someone who didn’t belong to the film industry, as it would give him a different perspective to view life. The actor was also previously in a long-term relationship with Kareena Kapoor, and was later linked to other co-star including Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha.
