Watch: When Rani and Vidya busted a casting director who promised a girl a film with SRK
Mumbai: Rani Mukerji, who celebrates her birthday today, has won accolades in the past few months for her performance in ‘Mardaani’. The actress became a crusader for women and child trafficking globally, but little is it known that Rani has always been fighting for the cause.
Remember her hard hitting role as the feisty reporter in the highly acclaimed ‘No One Killed Jessica’. The film was based on the Jessica Lal murder case of 1999.
During the film’s release Rani and her co-star Vidya Balan decided to conduct a sting operation on a lecherous producer and catch him red handed as he seeks sexual favours from Aarti.
The producer, who was old enough to be the girl’s father, promised her a role in a film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai.
