Aamir Khan-starrer 'Dangal' to go on floors in September

The film is pushed a little further because its cast is still not in place

Mumbai: Aamir Khan who has been preparing for the role a wrestler for ‘Dangal’, will continue to be overweight till September as that’s when the film will go on floors now. The film helmed by Nitish Tiwari was supposed to go on floors in April.

Apparently, the film is pushed a little further because its cast is still not in place. Several names like Kangana Ranaut, Tapsee Pannu were rumoured to be approached for the film. But the makers are yet to make an official announcement.

Aamir gained 15-20 kgs for the role and has no qualms waiting for a good part of this year to lose all the weight. The actor is also learning wrestling and mastering the Haryanvi language for the film.

The movie is a biopic based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Phogat, the father of Indian women wrestlers Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat. Mahavir coached Geeta to win many accolades, including the Bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
