"We have decided that we will run 500 incubation centers in the country; .... today on women's day I'm announcing that in Karnataka we will be setting up ten incubation centers, as of now there are only four..." he said.

Speaking at an event organized by the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE), Karnataka Chapter here, he said his Ministry was working towards encouraging rural, women and youth entrepreneurship.

"Our government is giving impetus on skill development along with the setting up of incubation centers," he added.

The union government in October last year had said it will be opening 500 incubation centers in the country, for boosting the MSME.

Stating that this year's Union Budget had given importance to the MSME sector, Mishra pointed out to the proposal to create a refinance agency, Mudra Bank with an initial corpus of Rs 20,000 crore to provide credit facilities to SC/ST businesses, among others.
