Rebuilt ‘capital’ no use for farmers, demands Pawan Kalyan

Kalyan warned Telugu Desam government not to give people a chance to revolt

Guntur: Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan while on tour in Undavalli, Yerrabalem, Bethapudi and Tullur said that he was not against the construction of a world-class capital, but the government should think twice before constructing the capital on the lines of Singapore.

He said that while late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy had done some good work, he had also given public land to Vanpic and others, hence he had opposed Reddy. He warned the TD government not to give people a chance to revolt.

Referring to famous Communist leader Tarimella Nagi Reddy's book Takattulo Bharata Desam — India Under Hypothecation — he commented that if the government offered collected lands to foreign and multinational companies, it would be hypothecation of the new capital, which would be of no use to the farmers.

Predicting the danger of extremist activities and revolution if the government gave land to corporate and foreign companies, Pawan Kalyan demanded the government not to disturb the rural areas, which reflected India.
