Watch: Javed Akhtar, Kirron Kher and Jaya Bachchan make powerful statements on Nirbhaya's case

Mumbai: The outrage of the entire nation over the Delhi rape case of 2012 is quite laudable. One of the six accused in the case, Mukesh made some stupendous statements on the rape incident. A controversial documentary ‘India's Daughter' based on the gang-rape of a young woman in Delhi was aired by the BBC in UK on Thursday.

Home minister, Rajnath Singh said, “I was personally hurt by this, spoke to authorities, made sure all steps taken to stop broadcast. The condition was given to shoot the interview for social purpose and not for commercial use. Will make sure the necessary action would be taken & a probe would be conducted.”

However, there were some figures who are loud enough to break the barriers of mediocrity at the Parliament. Javed Akhtar disapproved it and said rendering it to the masses will put forth those people who back the views of Mukesh.

Kirron Kher who has no qualms in speaking her mind, offered a few words of wisdom. She said that they have been sentenced to death because of the crime and yet fear nothing. The problem of such mindset should be sorted out from the grass-root level.

Jaya Bachchan, a member of Parliament, also expressed her views about the same.
