Hyderabad: The police arrested two burglars and a booty receiver and recovered about 380 grams of gold and 850 grams of silver ornaments. Police said the seized goods are worth around Rs 11 lakh.
The culprits were identified as Ushla Yadulu, 33, Mohammed Farooq, 31. The booty receiver is Rajendra Kumar Jain, 43, a resident of Dharavi in Mumbai.
East zone DCP V. Ravinder said the trio was found moving suspiciously with covers containing gold and silver ornaments on Sunday evening while the crime team was conducting vehicle checking at Chaderghat Bridge.
"When questioned their answers were not convincing. They were taken into custody and brought to the police station. During interrogation they confessed their crimes," the DCP said.
The arrested men were produced before court and sent to judicial remand.
