Judge jobs: Telangana state papers to be examined

The bench directed the pleader to place a copy of the petition

Hyderabad: A division bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday made it clear that it will not take any decision on the issue of appointment of junior civil judges unless it peruses copies of the petition moved by the Telangana State government before the apex court and the order granted by the Supreme Court in this matter.

The bench directed the pleader to place a copy of the petition, the SC order and other related material before it by Tuesday. The bench was dealing with a public interest litigation by senior counsel Sarasani Satyam Reddy of the High Court seeking a stay on all further proceedings pursuant to the notification issued on February 1, 2014, and consequential notification on February 5, 2015, for recruitment of 97 civil judges.
