New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha witnessed uproarious scenes on Thursday as a united Opposition slammed the Centre for remarks made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat hinting that Mother Teresa and her charity carried out conversions and demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi denounce it.
Minister of state for parliamentary affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi tried to distance the government from the RSS remarks and pacify the agitating MPs saying that the entire country respected Mother Teresa and there was no contradiction or confusion about the service rendered by her.
