Team India coach runs off to attend father-in-law’s funeral

Perth: According to a BCCI statement, Team India coach Duncan Fletcher left for Cape Town to attend his father-in-law’s funeral on Thursday.
Though Fletcher is expected to come back when the team plays United Arab Emirates on Saturday and West Indies on March 6, the statement did not mention the exact date of his return.
Till he is back, the Men in Blue – who arrived in Perth after overcoming South Africa in Melbourne – will be under Team Director Ravi Shastri’s wings.
It is learnt that the team had a short training session at the WACA on Wednesday. The team played a bit of football too where Mohammad Shami was the goalkeeper.
