Pawan Kalyan warns Telugu Desam, BJP

Pawan Kalyan spoke up regarding the special status for Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: After a nine month hiatus, film actor and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan spoke up regarding the special status for Andhra Pradesh and land pooling for the capital. He cautioned the BJP government at the Centre and the Telugu Desam government in the state.
In a series of tweets, Mr Kalyan told the BJP government to stand by the promise of special status and asked it not to let the people down. He also told the government not to face the anger of farmers by destroying farms in the capital area.
Mr Kalyan, who supported the TD and BJP combine during the elections, made remarks on the pressing issues of the state for the first time. He tweeted on Monday afternoon, “Last year, the bifurcation Bill was passed in Parliament in a haphazard manner by the Congress, and the BJP also extended its support.
The BJP also agreed to grant special status to AP as it would be the affected region. Now, the time has come to stand by that promise. I hope the BJP will not let down the aspirations of the people who supported them”.
Interestingly, his outburst came at the time of the Budget session in Parliament which started on Monday.
Regarding the capital, he tweeted, “AP government has to ensure that the farmers, agriculture and life linked to farming are not destroyed. Have to see no tears in farmers’ eyes otherwise have to face the wrath of farmers. With lot of trust people voted BJP-TD combine to power and both of them have to work to keep up the trust the people put in them.”
Interestingly Mr Kalyan recently participated in a public programme in Rajam in Andhra and expressed unhappiness over the state bifurcation.
