YSRC welcomes ex-gratia hike

YSRC has claimed that the hike in farmer suicide ex-gratia as its victory
Hyderabad: Ahead of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Rytu Bharosa Yatra the YSRC has claimed that the hike in farmer suicide ex-gratia as its victory.
YSRC leader Partha-sarathy said that Mr Naidu’s government had at last accepted farmer suicides. “We are happy that the kin of farmers who committed suicide are getting ex-gratia but the timing coincides with Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Rytu Bharosa Yatra in Anantapur district from February 22 to 26.
This is a move to prevent the farmers from rallying behind our leader,” he said. He said that whenever the YSRC launches a stir the government reacts with sops. “When the mandal dharna programme was announced the government released the list of eligible names for loan waiver.
When the agitation was shifted to district headquarters a small amount was released for loan waivers and when we announced the Rytu Bharosa Yatra the GO sanctioning Rs 5 lakh to the families of farmers who committed suicide came.”
He alleged that the state was taking up the Pattiseema project only to scuttle the Polavaram project as the aims and objectives are identical. The way the government is going ahead with the temporary project indicates that there are some irregularities and the stage is set for calling tenders in a hurry, he said.
