Full HD Wickedleak Titan 4 priced at Rs 14,990 has a four-day battery life

Indian smartphone manufacturers have been facing the heat ever since Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone giant, entered the country with high-end smartphones using a pocket-friendly price tag. Big Indian brands such as Micromax, XOLO, Karbon and the rest have been trying out various methods to capture the budget conscious market, but are striving to emerge to the top.

In the midst of the competition, Wickedleak, another emerging Indian smartphone manufacturer, which has been around for a few years now, is making a big noise. And why not? Wickedleak has announced the launch of their first smartphone, which features rich, high-end hardware, along with one main ingredient—longer battery life.

Wickedleak announced the launch of the Wammy Titan 4, boasting a 4-day long runtime. The Titan 4 houses a monster 5330mAh battery within its 9.3mm slim shell. The Titan 4 also boasts of a fingerprint biometric sensor, NFC and a 16MP Sony sensor-based camera, all within a price tag below Rs 15,000.

The Wammy Titan 4 features a 5-inch full IPS OGS HD display, protected with a Gorilla Glass 3 layer. Under the hood lies a powerful Mediatek MT6592 chipset featuring an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and coupled with a MALI-450 graphics processor. Supporting the hardware is 2GB of RAM and a 16GB internal storage, expandable to 64GB via a Micro SD card.

Other jaw-dropping features include a fingerprint reader, NFC (Near Field Communication), Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, an 8MP front camera, and optional Aqua Protect technology to keep it dust and water-proof. The USP for the Wammy Titan 4 lies in the high-end hardware, the large battery, the 16MP camera and, not forgetting, the price tag. Additionally, the large battery can also help charge other devices, as it can also be used as a power bank, using the USB OTG feature. Wickedleak’s Wammy Titan 4ships with Android KitKat, but the manufacturer promises that the Titan 4 will see the Lollipop in a few weeks.
