Panasonic launches a rugged tablet FZ-B2 with replaceable battery option

Toughpad FZ-B2 is tagged at a starting price of Rs 75,000

Developed to endure adverse usage conditions, Panasonic launched its fully rugged tablet FZ-B2, which has application across business verticals such as automotives, aviation, defence, telecom, manufacturing and logistics. Essentially, due to its dust and water resistance feature, the Toughpad FZ-B2 is ideal for field service professionals, and the ones who require a gadget 24x7.

Running on Android 4.4 operating system, the Toughpad FZ-B2 is equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron processor. The tablet sports a 7-inch multi-touch display, which features Rain Mode Touch and Glove Touch options. The FZ-B2 has an HD max 1920x1080 pixels front camera and 5MP front camera with flash.

The Toughpad FZ-B2 is fuelled by a 3320mAh lithium-ion replaceable battery, which according to the company gives a run time of about 7 hours. Additionally, the tablet features a USB 3.0 port and a physical LAN port.

The FZ-B2 is tagged at a starting price of Rs 75,000, with additional charges for the tablet accessories. The accessories for the tablet include batteries, and desk docking options, which allows. Although exorbitantly priced, the tablet is a viable option for professionals with harsh outdoor work environment.
