I don’t mix films and business: Havish

The actor is also looking after his father’s educational institution

“Any successful film is helpful for an actor’s career,” says actor Havish, who will be next seen in Ramleela. “I am confident about this film because I enjoyed a lot when I was shooting for it. I can say that this film is a good one, but the final judgment comes only after the release,” says the actor, adding that it is not a devotional film.

“It’s a commercial entertainer. The title was apt for the story.” Nandita is playing the female lead opposite him. “Actually the subject is inspired by a true story of my producer Dasari Kiran Kumar’s friend. It took place in the US, but most of the shooting was done in Malaysia,” he says, adding that he had taken a break before this because he was not getting interesting projects.

“I am ready to do inspiring characters. I do not have to be present throughout the film. The role can be a short one, but if I like it, I will do it,” he says. The actor is also looking after his father’s educational institution. “Cinema is my passion and I will continue to be part of it. And when I am not doing a film I look after KL University. I never mix films and business. When I do a film I concentrate on it till it is complete,” he says.

At present Havish does not have any projects in hand. “I am waiting for this film’s release,” he says. When asked about Vasta Nee Venaka, which stopped after being launched, he says, “It may start once again with another female lead.” Amala Paul was supposed to play the female lead.
