Kareena Kapoor to play schizophrenic in Raj Kumar Gupta's next?

Mumbai: After wrapping up the last schedule of Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Kareena Kapoor might just have bagged herself yet another role. According to reports, ‘No One Killed Jessica’ director Raj Kumar Gupta has signed the actress for his next.

Kareena will reportedly play the lead role of a schizophrenic patient in the upcoming project, which is said to be a dark thriller. Reports state that the story of the film revolves around Karrena’s character, who is released from a mental asylum and later finds herself in a web of trouble.

Apparently, the film is based on a true story, and will bring to light Section 84 of the Indian Penal Code. Section 84 states that the ‘act of a person of unsound mind.—Nothing is an offence which is done by a person who, at the time of doing it, by reason of unsoundness of mind, is incapable of knowing the nature of the act, or that he is doing what is either wrong or contrary to law.’

The director has managed to keep the rest of the cast under wraps and the project will most likely go on floors in April this year.
